Good morning residents

🚓 Police Community Safety Advice – Winyates & Matchborough

Police have received reports of unknown persons attempting vehicle door handles in the Winyates area of Redditch. At this time, enquiries are ongoing and residents are advised to remain vigilant.

We would like to remind all residents of the following crime prevention advice:

✅ Always lock your vehicle, even if parked on your driveway or for a short period.

✅ Remove valuables from your vehicle or ensure they are kept out of sight.

✅ Double-check doors and windows are secure before leaving your vehicle unattended.

✅ Consider using additional security, such as car alarms, steering wheel locks, or motion-activated lighting.

✅ If available, review CCTV or doorbell footage and report anything suspicious.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously, do not approach them. Instead, please contact:

999 if a crime is in progress or there is immediate danger.

101 to report suspicious behaviour or provide information.

Alternatively, report online via the local police website.
